Martinique Shore Excursions

SPECIAL SOUTH TOUR
$540 Chartered For 5 People

This charming area is yours to explore with your small group and your English-speaking guide. One of your stops will be at the beach at Anse Mitan, a stretch of gorgeous white sand and, actually, the closest public beach to Fort-de-France. Here the water is crystal clear if you choose to swim and, if not, you will find plenty of shops around.

When you are ready, your guide will walk you over to Village Creole, the site of many chic cafes and full of treasures you can take home with you.

Your lunch will be at Pointe du Bout, a finger of land west of Trois-Ilets which juts out into the bay. It is the indisputable tourist capital of Martinique. It is loaded with fashionable French boutiques, unbelievable yachts, and the scent of the French Riveria.

Another point of interest is the Eglise Notre-Dame-de-la-Delivrance, the site of the marriage of Empress Josephine's parents and the baptism of the future empress herself. There is also a Shell Museum, where the landscapes are constructed of shells, and a sugar cane museum. The Pagerie Museum, in town, was built on the site of Josephine's birth. But, most important, the Village Creole, is the location of the wonderful bustle of boutiques, cafes, and the "scene" that goes with those activities.
