GROUP TRIP...AERIAL TRAM AND TITOU GORGE
WITH LUNCH
$138 For up to 10 People
Your experience here will start with a ride
through the historic city of Roseau. Your guide will tell you about this
mystical island as you make your way through the Trafalgar Valley and
then onto the Rainforest Aerial Tram site in Laudat, where the altitude
is over 3000ft.
On your Rainforest Journey you will slowly slither through the pristine
rainforest, where you will encounter nature at its best. Over the course
of your 70 minute ride, you will be introduced to an array of flora and
fauna and wildlife which exists in the rainforest. Spectacular views of
the forests canopy and the Caribbean Sea as well as the Breakfast River
are all part of this once in a lifetime experience that you cannot miss.
We will give you a little time before taking you to the next highlight,
so you can enjoy a drink and a bit of shopping.
Continue on to the Titou Gorge where you will journey into an interior
of an altitude of approximately 3400 meters. After a moderate 10 minute
walk you will discover a natural rock pool where dark, narrow
water-filled canyon winds along to the base of a waterfall. This makes
for a perfect photo opportunity.
Your tour then proceeds through the Trafalgar Valley to Trafalgar Falls,
where your guide will lead you on a ten-minute trek to the viewing
platform of these two magnificent waterfalls, cascading into a deep pool
over slippery boulders surrounded by lush ferns and orchid blooms. If
you wish, you can take a refreshing dip in the water but this is
optional.
Just a short walk from the falls is the Papillotte Wilderness Resort,
and here you will be served a delicious local Caribbean lunch in the
midst of the rainforest. It will be accompanied by a fresh glass of
local fruit juice.
Now energized, you will make stops at two last highlights before
returning to the cruise pier. The Botanical Gardens will give you a
first-hand view of Dominica's National Bird, the Sisserou Parrot. You
will also see the result of the rich soil and growing conditions as this
is the location of the island tallest and most exotic trees. A quick
stop at Morne Bruce, for a photo opportunity of Roseau from a 400 foot
elevation is the last chance on this trip to fix Dominica in your memory
bank.
As you can see, this tour requires short walks in several areas to reach
the natural wonders hidden in pockets of the forests. Your guides will
help you but you should be prepared for some uneven surfaces in this
natural setting. The beauty before you will be worth the walk
