CRATER AND BOERI LAKES HIKE
$150 Chartered For 4 People
This tour begins with a drive through the
Capital City Roseau to the Botanical Gardens. After a short tour, you will
continue up the Roseau Valley, breathtaking, to the village of Laudat.
A hike for 45 minutes to an hour will get you ready to enjoy the
Freshwater Lake, one of the island’s two crater lakes within the Morne
Trois Piton National Park.
The hike is very scenic and offers great opportunities for photography. On
a clear day some of the highest and most beautiful mountain ranges can be
seen.
Freshwater Lake was formed many thousands of years ago in an old volcanic
crater and is located at an elevation of approximately 2500 feet above sea
level. It's a stunning sight.
We next drive into the village of Laudat and walk for 15 minutes to the Ti
Tou Gorge, one of the most unique and fascinating places on the island if
not the Caribbean. The Ti Tou Gorge is like a crevice in a mountain with a
waterfall inside. You will swim up between the rocks to the waterfall, an
incredible journey!
After the gorge we walk back to the vehicle and return to the cruiseship
pier, tired but satisfied.
