This is a custom tour, designed and run by Diane and Mimi. Diane is Aruba's Photo Artist in residence and recipient of Aruba's award for Best Photographer. Her work has been shown in 'Destination Aruba', 'Jazz', 'USA TODAY' and 'New Yorker'. Besides that, she is a great gal who enjoys people. The same with Mimi. These two will travel with you around Aruba, filling you in on the background of the island while helping you focus the foreground! This is basically a drive around the island, with stops at Diane's favorite sites.

You will drive past lovely cottages in the countryside, painted with colorful decorations. Those patterns, your guide will tell you, are not mere ornamentation, but hex designs with ancient superstitious meaning. Just like the hex designs of the Pennsylvania Dutch, they are remnants of their heritage.

We may stop to see the Gold Mill Ruins as well as the Natural Bridge, Aruba's most famous natural feature and the largest of eight such coral formations on the island and the Ayo Rock formations, where the remains of Indian rock drawings are still visible.
